The Holidays at the Mermaid & The Alligator
Late November and December is a magical time in Key West. The town comes to life with holiday spirit, the grand old homes boast fabulous Christmas lights, the Conch Tour Train rides through the little streets filled with carolers and the Fast Buck Freddies store windows rival any on Fifth Avenue. With visions of tropical breezes and pineapple-coladas in our heads, locals come out to enjoy the beautiful weather and un-crowded streets.
Come and celebrate the holidays with ‘our family’ at the Mermaid & The Alligator. We relish in the holiday spirit and are first in line to get the biggest Christmas Tree we can squeeze through the front door. Caya and Havana sport their reindeer outfits and run around excitedly knowing that Santa is on his way. The house and gardens are decorated with thousands of lights, lighted palm trees, stars twinkling from the roof tops and a very over-stuffed Santa lounges in the front yard hammock. The home looks grand in its holiday finest and we boast numerous awards for our decorating finesse.
You are sure to find those perfect holiday gifts at one of Key West’s unique selection of shops. Art, clothing, toys, home décor and more. It’s the most wonderful time of the year…
