Named after the stately Royal Poinciana trees found in our garden, this graceful second-floor room is the perfect writer's retreat. This room features an elegant four-poster queen-size bed, a sitting area and writing desk, polished Dade County pine floors, and a high Victorian-style ceiling. A French door opens to a private balcony which captures the morning sun and our wonderful tropical breezes. The mirrored bath is elegant and features a generous marble shower.
‘We were in the Royal Poinciana Room and it was lovely and so comfortable. We had a high 4-poster queen bed with a step stool. There was a small writing desk and chair. There are no telephones or televisions in the rooms which was wonderful. We had a lovely covered terrace that looked out over the rooftops on the side street. We spent early mornings before breakfast out there reading.’
‘The Royal Poinciana Room has a little step stool up to a 4-poster bed (charming), a little balcony overlooking the tree tops, and when I got in in the wee hours of the morning I could sit and chill.’
